Overview
Kaolin as the main Al₂O₃ and SiO₂ source in E-glass batch. Chemistry must be very stable from lot to lot, with tight control of iron, alkalis and particle size for melting and fiberising.
- Stable Al₂O₃/SiO₂ ratio lot to lot
- Low Fe₂O₃ for glass colour and melting
- Low alkalis and CaO+MgO within batch limits
- Controlled moisture and particle size for batching
